Almost parents....

Our court hearing has been set for tomorrow at 2:00 pm, and if all goes well we should legally be parents by around 3:00 pm. Our court date was originally projected to be around the 14th, so this is much sooner than expected!

Our preliminary hearing took only about 5 min. and the questions were all what we had been told they would be. Also, about 90% of the questions are addressed to the father, so it was pretty easy for me. We expect the hearing to be about 30 minutes tomorrow, and there will be more questions. Kevin has to remember some specific things to say, but other then that we think it won't be too intimidating.

We still aren't sure when we will be actually taking custody of the kids yet. It will either be on Saturday morning or Monday morning. It has to happen when the babyhouse director is working so she can sign documents releasing them to us, but she is only in first thing on Saturday morning over the weekend. We aren't sure we can have everything set up for them so soon, so it might be Monday before we take custody.
